PRIVACY & SITE TERMS / THE PLAIN VERSION

Fewer things to track.

This website introduces What’s the Point. It doesn’t inspect your network or sign in to your console on your behalf.

Theme and animation preferences

The light/dark toggle stores your choice in this browser’s local storage when available; otherwise the site uses your system preference. The point animation runs locally and honors reduced-motion settings. Pointer and touch positions are used only to move the visual point, are not retained, and are not transmitted.

What this site stores

The site has no analytics scripts, advertising pixels, external fonts, or website account database. Three.js is served locally for the point animation; no third-party runtime host is contacted. If you choose “Remember this address,” your self-hosted console URL is saved in this browser’s local storage. Uncheck that option and continue to remove the saved address. The site never requests your console password.

The interactive product tour

The dashboard tour uses sample data and browser-local simulated actions. It does not access a real network. AI inference examples are authored illustrations with no model execution; peer-mesh diagrams create no network or cryptographic session. Demo policies, endpoint state, and audit events are held in memory and reset when the page reloads. Activity exports are generated locally.

Requests and third parties

The contact form prepares a draft in your browser. Preparing a draft does not send it. Choosing “Review on GitHub” sends the draft text to GitHub in the issue URL; submitting it there creates a public issue. GitHub’s privacy practices and account terms apply. Keep private information out of that draft.

The site is prepared for GitHub Pages hosting. Hosting infrastructure may receive standard request information such as your IP address and requested page. Linked sites, including GitHub and the Cyberplexs sign-in service, apply their own policies. Self-hosted sign-in takes you directly to the URL you enter.

Your WTP installation

The software’s data handling is separate from this marketing site. Configuration and history live in your installation’s SQLite database. Operators configure retention, logging, permissions, and backups. Upstream DNS providers and optional blocklist downloads have their own data flows. Read the security overview and project security model for details.

Availability and planned services

This site describes the current open-source release and services under development. “Coming soon” items have no committed release date, price, or service level. This site does not accept payments or create a support contract. Deployment suitability depends on your environment and validation.

Software license and notices

The source code is licensed under AGPL-3.0-or-later. External feeds and dependencies retain their own licenses; see the third-party notices. The license file governs use of the code.
